FILM BY KLAUS HÄRÖ, MY SAILOR, MY LOVE, AWARDED AT THE DUBLIN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
MY SAILOR, MY LOVE, DIRECTED BY KLAUS HÄRÖ AND PRODUCED BY MAKING MOVIES, WAS AWARDED WITH THE BEST IRISH FILM AWARD AT THE DUBLIN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (DIFF) ON SATURDAY 4.3. THE AWARD IS PRESENTED BY THE DUBLIN FILM CRITICS CIRCLE.
Klaus Härö was present to receive the award. "As a Finnish filmmaker, I have of course been anxious about how a film set in Ireland is received here. At the premiere screening on Thursday, I was delighted to receive a warm reception and roaring applause. But I did not expect this award!”, says Klaus Härö in Dublin. “At this point, it's worth noting that I was certainly not the only Finnish filmmaker on the film. From producers and screenwriters to the cinematographer and make-up artist were all top domestic professionals. Therefore, I take this award also as recognition of Finnish filmmaking expertise,” continues Härö.

I strongly believe that My Sailor, My Love will receive as grand a reception internationally as it has received in Finland. The story of the last love is universal and we can all strongly identify with it,” continues producer Nordberg.
